The Chase Park Plaza is one of the most luxurious hotels in St. Louis. Bringing elegance to the heart of the Central West End, this majestic building has been a St Louis icon since 1922. In its long history, it has hosted dignitaries and celebrities from Jimmy Carter to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. This grand hotel offers a beautiful backdrop to capture your holiday photos.

Historic Movie Theatre

One of the hotel’s most unique amenities is its on-site historic movie theatre. It features five screens showing the latest blockbuster releases. Private screenings can also be arranged for those looking for a more intimate experience.

Lobby Elevators

The floor indicators above the elevator doors give this backdrop an exquisite, historical vibe. It’s no surprise that the Chase Park Plaza is part of the Historic Hotels of America.

Hall of Trees in the Grand Hall

The Chase Park Plaza shows its holiday spirit by showcasing 16 beautifully decorated trees that line the Grand Hall. While there, be sure to stop by and check out the beautiful Gingerbread Village on display until January 1. It features 19 landmarks including The Chase, Saint Francis Xavier Church, Forest Park, and a 100-pound chocolate Gateway Arch.

If the weather is nice, there are some great outdoor spaces nearby that may offer some other great photo opportunities. Across the street from the Chase Park Plaza, you can find the St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park. The 90-acre zoo and conservation park offers some unique photos such as in the turquoise-colored Sea Lion Sound Tunnel.

Forest Park, the seventh-largest urban park in the United States, is a natural oasis in an urban environment. It contains St. Louis’ major museums including the Art Museum, the Missouri History Museum, the Science Center,  Zoo, and The Muny, which is the country’s biggest outdoor theatre.

A five-minute drive, or about a thirty-minute walk away, consider Forest Park which is one of the prettiest green spaces in the city. For something a little out of the ordinary, consider a photo at the World Chess Hall of Fame to snap a picture with the world’s largest chess piece located outside the building. The Chess Institute is only a 3-minute walk away from the Chase Park Plaza Hotel.
