Thermal Baths of Bënjë/Llixhat e Bënjës - Përmet, Albania

We were lucky enough to have this wonderful gem of a place all to ourselves this Christmas. Even on the chilliest of days, warm geothermal waters flow down the river and into one of the several manmade pools. Accenting the stunning surrounding is a delicate stone bridge that was built during the Middle Ages and extends over the brilliantly blue-green water. With snow-covered mountain views, this was a remarkably romantic and special way to bring in the holidays.
