Our Ode to 100 Abodes!
A familiar pillow.
What is that?!
So many days we awake
asking, “Where are we at?”
The idea of a “home”
is a concept no more.
When scenery constantly changes
outside our windows and doors.
“When are you coming back?”
The question with the biggest hit.
Because we feel like pieces to a puzzle
that no longer seem to fit.
Sometimes it’s not easy
ending the day in random beds.
We’ve learned to find comfort
Any place we rest our heads.
A day to celebrate?
We say, “Why not?”
After all, we’ve slept in 100 beds
And that’s certainly a lot!
We felt like staying busy
so we hopped on a bus.
Every country reached
is always a plus.
How many more beds?
We haven’t got a clue.
The world is our home now.

Yeah, we do the same and it took us a while to get used to sleeping in different apartments. But now after almost 2 years we can sleep anywhere…and we always have our own flat sheet and pillow cases just in case! The concept of being in just one place now seems strange to us.

There’s been a few cases where we could have used our own linens too. What a great idea! However, our backpacks are bursting at the seems as it is. Strange how folks like us come to crave a life of constant motion.
